    Savage 24 question

Maybe somebody can help me? I recently bought a Savage 24 SE. It is 22 over 20 gauge. My question is what choke is the 20 gauge? There is nothing stamped on the barrel. Thank you, Whitetail

Geez, thats about the 4th 24 I've seen starting with a P. Can you find a date code on the gun anywhere, it'll be a small oval circle with a number and a letter stamped inside of it.

    Re: Savage 24 question

Forget it, I found it in the early 70's catalogs. The S stands for "side lever", it's a full choke barrel.
