Factory sling swivel studs, or not?

Is this factory or a later addition? On a Savage 99-K. Also, the factory letter is attached.

I have the same type swivel on my 99G takedown. It replaces the front screw of the forearm release button.

1927 pricelist: "Sling Straps, complete with screw eyes and swivels for Models 99 and 20 rifles ... $2.50"

They sold them. They show up on about 50% of 99K's. I personally think they are factory.

50% is too high a percentage not to be factory. And so I agree.

That was my only hesitation when buying this rifle, but, even if not factory, it was a terrific deal. Had I found out they really are factory, as I did today, I’d be kicking myself for stupidly not getting a really nice rifle!
