There is another thread about removing a trigger guard. the gist of it involved a trigger shoe interfering with the process. I don't want to hijack that thread so I'll start another. I don't mean to discuss the merits or failings of trigger shoes but want to show how I made a few for my self.

I used one of these on my 308 Savage I got in the mid 70s. I wanted another but they seem to be as scarce as unicorn tears these days. So I just made my own. It turned out to be reasonably easy undertaking. with the hardest part drilling and tapping the 2-56 set screw holes.
