    Custom wood for an XP-100

Been considering building one. Who makes custom stocks for them anymore?

Probably not many being made now but pretty sure there's a bunch to be had. They pop up for sale quite often. I prefer the rear grip.

Couple listed on Ebay now. UGLY, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Oz never gave nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn't already have.

When I started my XP100 build, Jim Rockwell JR seemed to be the only game in town. Checking around after doing a massive internet search of who made center grip stocks. What I discovered was some were out of business and others had quit building center grip stocks. One was very expensive, and also had a long delivery time.

It took five months to get my Rockwell Stock, and not the 10-12 weeks listed. So I would set some realistic goals and not expect delivery any sooner than Five Months or so. THE FINISHED PRODUCT WAS WORTH THE WAIT IN MY OPINION!
By the way my Nutmeg Laminated Center Grip "Right Hand" XP100 Stock turned out great. I Added Two inches of additional forend, and I am glad I did. The forend is measured from the Barrel Lug Forward. On an XP100 Center Grip you loose two inches of the forend length on the trigger guard, which is forward of the barrel lug. My stock ended up looking Great, and feels good in the hand. I ordered it with a Two Inch Wide "Flat" Forend so that it was Sand Bag Friendly. It was made exactly to my specifications. I also had the Extreme Duty Bipod Stud added to the order. This has an Aluminum Bedding Block. The stock came Pillar Bedded, with Aluminum Pillars. I was surprised at how light weight the stock was. It was finished in Satin. Total Cost to my door was $475. That included $20 for the Two Extra Inches of Forend Length, and $40 for the Extreme Duty Bipod Stud.

Hind Sight, If I were to start my XP100 build again I would still order the Stock from Jim Rockwell JR. I got EXACTLY what I ordered, and it looks great.

Now if Pacific Tool and Gauge would get my action built. It was ordered 3 August 2022 at the same time the stock was ordered. I am still getting excuses, and no action so far.
UPDATE: Per Stan the FFL Contact Person at PT&G my Action will ship the week of 23-27 January 2023. I am not holding my Breath just yet. I hope I have a huge smile on my face when I get to see it, and not a frown. :)
