Looks like a real shooter Dan, nice......
Took my TC HMR rifle out today
Put a Bi pod on to try
I found the Bi pod hard to use, had to re postion gun and re find target after every shot
Shot some 20 gr XTP Hornady Ammo. The wind really moves that little bullet
25 shots at 50 yards
Had a couple of flyers
I was happy with the results
Had a fun day

Suggest you buy all you can of that lot of ammo, if there is any left. good group. Some bags might be a better fit, just saying.
A great little round that is fun in the field. Price has jumped a bit for the ammo. Try a bunch of different makes and one will stand out for accuracy. Nice shootin !
I really enjoyed the HMR I had, but it wasn't a T/C. Those 20gr XTPs shot the best out of it too. They worked well on groundhogs and apples (we'd hang a few out at 200 yards at the range sometimes).
Right is not always easy, but still right.
I havnt been very successful using a bipod. I need to find the right ammo for my little savage bolt pistol in 17hmr.
The most accurate for me has been the Hornady 17 gr Vmax loads.
None shot poorly, but that Hornady ammo was the clear winner.
This is in a factory T/C 23" bbl.
12F, McGowen 6.5x284 1-8" twist, Nightforce 12-42x BR
BVSS, McGowen barrel, 22-250 1-9" twist, Nikon 6-18x
16 FHLSS Weather Warrior, Sinarms 257 Roberts, Pentax 3-9
Stevens 200, 223 bone-factory-stock, Nikon 3-9x
Scratch-built BVSS, LW 243 1-8" twist, Viper 6.5-20x50 mil-dot
Fun little round to plink with, mine is a factory t/c 23 in barrel also.Mine also shoots the 17 gr. Vmax very well.
We had a big weather break here in Western NY to start the year. I was at my cabin over the weekend and got out my 93R17 stainless varmint.
There was a negligible wind, with temps in the mid 40's. I was thrilled. It was fun to get some shooting done in January. It had been a couple months.....
Good shootin and nice looking rifle. 17 HMRs are really fun but sadly I sold my NEF years ago. It was accurate as well. It also loved the 17 gr. Vmax.
Excellent! Definitely great shooting and looks like the barrel is a shooter too!
