    High Plains grip set

Just ordered a set in Camo laminate, unfinished. Pegasus grip and 9.5” sported forend. Asked for both pistol and rifle hole spacing.

I bet it will be good looking when you get it finished.

I’ve often considered one of their forends with the ebony tip. They sure have some pretty woodwork.

They make a very nice set. I always get a finished set but this last time I got unfinished. Didn't take much sanding or prep work. They came out great.,

You need to bring them along next time we shoot, I have been eyeballing them for years just couldn't take the plunge without knowing if they fit my paw.

But you could always refinish that sows ear. I did one of mine and it looks like new. It's sad TC use to refinish them for cheap.

Great minds think alike Bob. I haven’t seen a set at any of our shoots, so I thought I’d get a set so any of the guys could try them out.

they are going on a encore so I don’t know how they will match up to a contender set as far as size

unfinished sets are certainly priced reasonably.

Maybe I'll just grab a plain Contender set so we can all try them before spending the big$$$ on a fancy set.

Good to know Todd, once I decide what kind of wood I want I'm going to try them too.

I've got a couple of Pegasus carbine sets and I've been extremely pleased with the products. I've always been tempted by the High Plains handgun sets but I've got all the handgun set-ups I can use. :)

Just got off the phone with Jacob. He has been having problems with his online form. So it is best to order over the phone. 3 to 4 months out

Could send it off and have it finished by Metalife in Reno, PA, the company SSK used to use for the SSK Krome.

So did you order the Pegasus or Hammer style grip?

That's the way I'm leaning, I like the looks of the Hammer also though.

What product are you planning on using to finish your new wood?

Permalyn gun stock finish. It’s worked well for me in the past.
