    Savage 24T 222 Rem./ 12 ga. Rare ?

Is the Savage 24T 222 Rem./12 ga. Rare ? If my memory serves me right, they were a special run for Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield,Pa. In Pa they were legal for fall turkey until 2 yrs. ago when they outlawed all rifles for fall turkey hunting. Now I have 4 rifle/shotgun, over/unders that I can't use !

Can't say I've ever heard of a 24T. Have owned several 24V's in .222 over 20ga, but a .222 over 12ga was never cataloged as an option. Probably pretty low production and rare if it was a dealer/distributor exclusive back in the day.

Edit: Now that I think about it a little more, I believe there might have been a 24T offered sometime in the mid 1990's with a camo synthetic furniture, but those would have been .223's over 12ga. By that time they had long since discontinued using wood stock's and the only other Model 24 being offered was the 24F which were all 12ga right up until the M24's were discontinued 6-8 years ago and replaced with that abomination they call the Model 42.

IIRC Savage stopped chambering anything for the .222 sometime in the early or mid 1980's (the Model 340 being the only other model chambered for it).
