Got an ancient 110 30/06. Circa 1980’s. Thinking about rebuilding in 280 or 280 AI. I see mixed results on feeding issues with the AI version. Anyone done this? Will the AI feed in the 06 blind magazine?

Worked for me. So long ago I do not remember doing anything with the feed lips. Pretty sure I run .35 whelen and .257AI through the same one.
.223 Rem AI, .22-250 AI, .220 Swift AI .243 Win AI, .6mm Rem AI, .257 Rob AI, .25-06 AI, 6.5x300wsm .30-06 AI, .270 STW, 7mm STW, 28 nosler, .416 Taylor
You either will or will not have issues with AI. However, I assure you there is a fix. There is always a fix.
Oh, I’d go 280AI no doubt! I haven’t heard many who did it end up regretting it. It’s an awesome cartridge! I’ve run 260Rem now the last 5-6 years I guess. I wish I had gone 260AI from the start! Regardless, it will be on my next re-barrel. The fact that standard 280 can be fired from the 280AI chambered rifle, and the same for 260AI/260Rem, is pretty much a Deal Sealer for me brohiem. Catchin’ what I’m throwin’ partner? I mean, you smellin’ what I’m steppin’ in.. Are you pickin’ up what I’m puttin’ down moneme!?
I always liked the 280, and the AI is better. Most of the deer will never notice but on paper you have more mojo. And cool factor. A 175 would be lights out
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
