Hello all,

I purchased a Camo Savage 212 w? weaver scope combo from Cabela's last month.
The next day I preceded to clean the gun and noticed a large gouge in the rifling about 12 inches from the exit end of the barrel. Approx. 2-3 O-clock position.

I called Customer Service and brought the gun back to the factory since I live close by.
I received a brand new gun by UPS delivery several weeks later.

Upon visual inspection this new gun has the same barrel defect.
Called Customer Service again and ran the gun back to the factory, CS rep met me and we both viewed the defect together, he agreed that it was a "rather larger defect".
He said he would personally inspect the next gun they ship to me to assure it is defect free this time.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up if you recently purchased a new 212.
