Finally took the Savage 110 .270 I just got to the range today and shot it. It shot well, but failed to eject the round. The round fed well and extracted well, but did not eject the round away from the rifle. I did searches to try to find some information on how to fix it. What I am reading mentions replacing a spring under the ejector and a ball under the extrator? I could not find any real how too's.

This is a 1974 model. I did break down the bolt yesterday... removed the bolt screw at the rear of the bolt, Removed the bolt handle and the "C" shaped metal piece, removed the firing pin, drifted out the pin that retains the bolt head and did a general clean up. I did not disassemble the firing pin assembly. I also saw mention of a spring that sometime flies out when the bolt head is taken apart? This did not happen to me. Is it possible that this spring is missing?

If any one can help or direct me to a tutorial I missed in my searches it would be great. Thansk for any help!
