    Model 10 bolt issue

    I recently acquired a model 10 heavy barrel 308.
I had my first range session and with some tips I tried a handload that shot exceptionally well.
My issue is when chambering a fresh round just when I start to lower the bolt I really have to put some heavy forward and downward force to close the bolt.
My first thought was that the shoulder needed to be bumped back, checked that and its good my OAL is good also so I do not believe it is a ammo issue.
I am not sure but this does not seem normal.
Any advice or things to check ?

Does it have the issue when there is no cartridge in the battery?

Yes. Your front action screw needs to be trimmed. Or fix the stock so the screw no longer compresses the stock material.

No. It is your ammo. Edit: Or what want to ride says below :)
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
