The Leupold.
I'm looking at buying a CVA Wolf V2 for my soon to be 10 year old daughter to hunt with. Her shots will be limited to 60 yds but in time her range will increase ~100 yds or so. I'd like to keep this budget friendly with 2 main requirements. The eye relief needs to be no less than 3.5" on any magnification. The second is no BDC type reticle; a plain reticle is preferred to keep things simple for her. I've found 3 that fit the bill although the first 2 are a bit more money than I was looking for. Please let me know what you think and feel free to suggest something else.
Athlon Argos HMR 2-12x42 AHMC MOA
Leupold Freedom 3-9x40 Hunt-Plex
Burris Fullfield IV 2.5-10x42mm - Plex

The Leupold.
Of those 3 scopes the Leupold would be my pick also.
It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!
Make it 3. I've had a couple Leupold scopes and they were great tools.
