    Savage 99 hammer indicator spring replacement.


    New to the forum but not to 99's as I have been hunting with them for over 50 years. I needed to replace the hammer indicator and hammer indicator spring on a late model 99 but am having a great deal of difficulty on how hold the spring in order to install it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    OK, got the problem solved. Finally found a picture of what spring looked like under tension, and that solved the problem
