Doesn't look like there are many. For me I am praying you put a dent in their population. I was reading how many elk a small pack of wolves take down a year and I was shocked. Even more so when I read estimates of elk lost in all of Idaho due to wolf predation.

Chris, are wolves considered open season predators in your state?

Plenty of them around my place. I usually take a shot or 2 at one or 2 each year. These are predator wolves. The cattle farmers near me like that.

I don't claim to be a game biologist, but it amazes that they're protected in some states.
