    Boyd’s stock fit

I bought a Boyd’s stock and the action drops into it nicely but I am having an issue. When I screw the action into the stock I can’t open the bolt. I checked the length of the screw and it doesn’t appear to be to long. I havent had a chance to really assess it fully yet but I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks

More than likely the front action bolt is contacting the lugs on the bolt. Easy test it to back off the front action screw a couple of turns (or more),and see it the bolt frees up.

I agree. Check it by leaving rear lug screw tight, & unthreading front screw slowly...like 1/4 turn at a time to check. Then get back to us.

Boyds put in a soft plastic estucheon bushing and more than likely it compresses while tightening and allows the end of the screw to reach the bolt lug.
