    Barrels


    Was wondering if the 112 Target and 110 Precision barrels are the same in .338 Lapua Magnum. Thank you.

    I believe all 3 of those models use a large shank barrel...if that is what you mean by being "the same".

    The barrels are but the actions are not. The 112 & 110 actions are not strong enough to handle the 338 Lapua Magnum.

    Yeah...the Lapua is not only a Large Shank, but it just simply is a LARGER action! It’s like an XL sized, closed shroud 110. The problem is the case diameter. If you want BIG power in a Small Shank Long Action....go 300 or 338 RUM. I have never heard ANYONE say the RUM isn’t powerful enough! They are 100% TEETH RATTLING! Guaranty you’ll develop a nice Anticipation Flinch from it!
