    Savage Stealth 6.5 Creedmoor

Love this rifle. 100-8x on an MR-31. Not too shabby for an old fart. X ring is 5/8". No mirage with 30 rnds fired. This target was the last 10 for today. Shot prone with Harris bipod.

    Very nice.

By the way.... you happen to be a Dr. Seuss fan by any chance? Your Stealth apparently is. “I would not COULD not Sam I am... I would not sell my Savage, MAN!”

    Very nice.
It looks like you have found a 'keeper'.

I've got three Savage 6,5 CMs and two like 140 and heavier bullets and the third likes 130 and 140 bullets.
I suggest you try different weights.

I have also found that the 140 Sierra SMKs were the least accurate of the bullets I tried.
The Hornady 140 ELD-Ms shot a lot better in all three rifles.
The Berger 140s eventually shot very well, but it took me some amount of testing to find the right jump.
The newer design Sierra 142 SMKs out shot the older design 140 Sierra SMKs by a large margin.

Your results with one of the less accurate 140s is a good sign - it should get better as you experiment.

Thanks CFJunkie. I have all sorts of different bullets in the stash. I still find myself shooting more .308 than 6.5, but I do love experimenting with loads. Been using an RCBS Match Master measure and love it. Loading a couple hundred .308 Berger FB 150s over IMR-8208 XBR this morning. Whatta Hobby!
