Hi guys! Looking forward to learning about things here, and maybe offering some information in return.
I've only owned three Savages, the first of which was a B Mag 17 WSM which Savage replaced when it lacked any usable accuracy, but the "replacement" rifle never lived up to expectations. I got rid of the rifle, and didn't consider another Savage until I bought a 220 slug gun after watching my hunting partner drop a deer at over 150 yards. Most accurate 20 ga slug gun I have ever had.
My newest Savage I won at an NRA Banquet raffle, an Axis II chambered for 30-06 Springfield. I've worked up a handload for it to use in the coming rifle deer season, and I can't wait.
As my forum name indicates, I primarily shoot flintlocks, and I hope to bring my experience with muzzleloading for any member here who might have questions.
