model 12 bvss BASIX TRIGGER SAV2 HORRIBLE INSTALL

I got a Basix trigger that had instructions to go to their web for a link to install on a non-accutrigger model. The video showed as though it was shipped in parts. It was mostly assembled not in parts!. No written instructions included. I was led to believe this would be a less than half hour install DIY. I'm not a newbie to installing triggers ..5 hours and I can't get no satisfaction! Supposed to adjust to 4oz to 3 lbs NOT!
1.5 lbs at best only applying finger to the very tip. They show a before and after blip of reworking the stock sear REALLY? No info about how to do that? I am really bummed!

Surprised you are having difficulty after seeing the video? They really do seem quite straight forward. You described yourself as being quite knowledgeable with trigger set-ups. The adjusting screws work together to achieve various low pull weights. Not just one quick adjustment here. But it will go lower than 1.5lbs.

BTW, are you familiar with target triggers in the SINGLE DIGIT oz setting? Hell, I think 1lb. is SCARY light! But 4oz?? Honestly, from my experience, using a trigger in this realm requires careful, & meticulous bolt closing. Not gonna “slam” the bolt home with authority here! I haven’t event used a trigger pull gauge in many years. I think it draws too much attention, looking for a certain number. I worry about how it feels to my index finger. Not a number on a tool.

A friends competition 6PPC was set at that You basically did not touch the stock other than very lightly and only touched the trigger when you were ready to fire. Took a bit of getting used to just letting the rifle slide rearward and coming to terms with that Jewel trigger. Accurate? Oh my yes!

I gather too firm a bump would trip that trigger with ease, right? My custom set up Accutrigger trips at maybe just under 2lbs. But with no creep, to grit, startling break & abrupt STOP! It’s a pleasure & puts a smile on my face. And with that, NEVER needing worry of an accidental firing.

I did one of those on a GRS and found it a little difficult. I ended up talking with Rifle Basix on the telephone and they were most helpful. I achieved a very light pull, but ended up thinking it was too light, so I reset it.
