I got the sights fitted and took it to the range, it took a while to get it sighted in, but once there it shoots great
My LGS had ordered a Savage MkII FV-SR for a guy, who put down a $100 deposit, about 6 months ago, they have called, emailed and texted, with no answer. They offered it to me, on my last visit, using his deposit, in the amount paid. Did I actually need a 12th 22LR rifle, no, but a bargain is a bargain. I expected a short bull barrel, somewhat like the B22 FV-SR, but what I got was a short, heavy, tapered, fluted barrel. As soon as my iron sights I ordered arrive, I’ll take it to the range. I’ve bought 3 Savage 22LR rifles in the last month.

Very pretty! Is that a clamp-on M1 style front sight? Where can I get one?
It’s a tactical mossberg shot Gun sight, upc 4717385550476, I got mine from Cheaper Than Dirt

Ah, clever solution, thanks!
I love my FV-SR...so much fun to shoot! Enjoy...
I bought a Mark II FV SR this las summer. Getting to like it . Shoots Federal Auto Match and CCI Mini Mags the best so far. Slight edge to the Auto match. Have not seen auto match for sale anywhere for months. My clubs out door range is closed for some serious construction work. I would like to see how it shoots at longer ranges than indoor 50 ft.
The league starts up again the first weekend in October, I got more practicing to do. As the only league allowed ammo is CCI HP mini-mags, that all I shoot 99% of the time. I really like the Mk II FV-SR, it will probably be my back up rifle going into the season, the primary rifle is going to be the Ruger Precision Rimfire, the one I’ve used for the last 2 yrs.
