How Many Wave Washers Between the Bolt Body and the Front baffle

    Help a fellow member out.

Shatpshooter82 is interested in how many wavy spring washers belong between the front baffle and the bolt body. I believe he sent his rifle back to Savage. He at some point found 2 washers on his bolt. In this photo I see one. I have never seen 2. Just curious as to what you guys think is the correct number.

    TIA

    part number 12i

The correct answer would be 1. But I have seen instances of 2 stacked together, simply because they were stuck together when the bolt was assembled. In most cases, 2 washers create enough thickness that the cross pin will not line up with the hole in the bolt body and bolt head.

Thanks gentlemen. Sharpshooter82 had posted 4 times on others topics so I don't think he trusted my answer after the first 2 of my responses. I hope you guys responses have helped him feel more certain and comfortable with removing one of his washers.

If you move the washer to between the bolt head and baffle, it'll help keep some grease on your lugs. In stock form, it just wipes it off.

My 5 110s only have one spring washer, and as some of you know, mine span 64yrs of Savage 110 production.

Please don’t take my asking the question again the wrong way. I just like to get more than one response, especially on the internet.

I appreciate you responses, as well as everyone else.

Well, now wait a minute here....if the bolt has TWO washers, and ONE is removed......then does Biden still believe he ACTUALLY WON the election without FRAUD??
