Are we talking 6x47 LAPUA, or the original 6x47 derived from the 222 Rem mag case?

    Makes a HUGE difference...

Slim, VERY GOOD POINT! 82boy knows I have a 6x47Lapua!

I was searching a few minutes ago and just found out there is a 222 Rem mag case neck up to a 6mm!!!!!!!! Refered to "6x47" Matter of fact it had a load suggestion for a 75 V-max only using 27.5grns of Varget! The COAL was way off! I started to write a comment and state someone made a mistake!!!!!!!! It made me do some digging but I found the information you stated above.

I just wish you would have commented earlier, it would have saved me a lot of time!!!!!!!!!

Heck, I thought you knew of the old 6x47 rem based off of the 222 rem mag case. This was a short lived short range benchrest round in the mid 1970's to the 1980's. This is why when I mention it I always put a L or lapua after it to avoid confusion. This is also the reason why some call the round a 6-6.5x47.

Re: 6x47 "LAPUA" starting load suggestion

    LOL,

Well the reason I asked was, (other than the obvious), I HAVE load data for the 75 Vmax, and the "old" 6x47 that is based on the 222 Rem mag case.

I still have and load for that "short lived" chambering.

    ;D

Fat lot of good that data will do you though, with that "new-fangled" Lapua magnum however.
