New to Savage

I bought a 223 Savage Axis a few years back on black Friday for $200 . Did the trigger spring Sighted it in rattle canned the stock and was going to use it for Yotes. Im a bow hunter so i threw it in the safe and thats were its been , 90% of the time I grab my bow. Fast forward my daughter is hunting and I want to use the 223 as a trainer for her shooting technique. I found this sight looking for Axis upgrades to possibly upgrade the stock , rings and scope as it is still has all the OG stuff it came in. Look forward to using all the info here as research for a slight build.
