Hi,
I am looking for some details to make a older 110 into a different caliber .284 Winchester, also to change out the stock and not spend a fortune to do so. I have a local person who makes barrels so I will start there.
The gun is currently a .270 Winchester, the internal magazine is a side by side type, its not a center feed as far as I can tell. Main purpose is hunting, but it may later get changed into a long range set up.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome. You should only have to change the barrel. The present magazine should feed the 284 round.

Consider the 280 and the 280 AI.

Ok Guys, Thanks for the welcome!!
My next question maybe will get some good info.
I have a Model 110 Short action, internal magazine in 284 Winchester, I bought it used. It seems to double feed rounds. If you two load only or single it works ok; add a third round and it has all kinds of jams.
What is a good Savage stock I can replace it with something used without spending a fortune?
Also the 116 I have in 6.5x284 Norma feeds from a box magazine and seems to work well, am I able to convert the 110 short action to this same box set up in a short action? If so which set up would work?
Any info is appreciated.
Welcome from another FL boy!
