New 110 SA non accustock compatibility question(s)...

So I reached out to Savage CS the other day asking about the possibility of upgrading my XP Hunter to an Accustock. (Of course the factory does not sell these, however Magpul does). The representative informed me that if the rifle did not come with an Accustock from the factory, then it is not compatible with one. Can anyone attest to this as truth or is it fake news?

    Fake news IMO.

It’s the recoil lug. The one for the Accustock is “smaller” than the standard recoil lug. You can swap it out.

This right here^. The Accustock recoil lug is designed to fit between the aluminum chassis rail. It is very similar to this(with a stamped locating bump) ....

    Where yours looks like this...

Yea, don't listen to me. I forgot about the different recoil lug for the accustock rifles.

That said, I have taken a dremel to an Accustock and made it work with my XP .308. It's not that hard to do.

Haha...I would have bet on you saying this. You are pretty crafty and it came as no surprise!!!!
I have done it too but I ended up pulling it out and milling it somewhat correctly.

You know what Red Green always said - "if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy!" :D

I thought I was supposed to be hands-y. No wonder I've been slapped so often.

I was in this position. I tried grinding it on the action... then i took it off the gun to do it right, and i saw how cheap Midway had them and just ended up putting one of theirs back on.
