Any AICS or metal trigger guard options for choate stock / 110 XP - axis mag combo these days?

Well, I'm new to Savages and they don't make it simple at all do they? I purchased a 110 Apex Predator XP and dropped it into a Choate tactical stock. I managed to do my homework enough to get the "right" version at the time, along with the the plastic "bottom metal" piece I needed for the magwell. Therein lies the problem. Plastic. Plastic everywhere. The magwell is plastic. The trigger guard is plastic. It just feels cheap and wrong.

I ordered up a nice 10 round metal magazine from Snyder, but that only makes things worse. Not only do I only have one and he's showing out of stock, but even if I had more I'd have a big heavy mag hanging from a plastic catch that breaks some times with the stock mag. Not only that, but that catch is hanging from a plastic "bottom metal." Great. We haven't even addressed the trigger guard yet.

I saw an older post here that referenced putting serial numbers in a parts finder on the Savage website, but as far as I can tell that no longer exists. I've seen references to a company called CDI that used to make real bottom metal and modify Choate stocks for AICS, but as far as I can tell they no longer exist as well. So what options still exist? Thanks in advance!

Ask questions before you buy. I still don't know what you have and/or what you are looking for. pictures go a long way. Here is a couple of options.

The Dark eagle customs will fit the factory savage DBM frame. Maybe one for the plastic to. There are more than one frame design that you can learn about in the FAQ section on this site. You will have to look at yours and figure out.

The PT&G will not fit your Snyder stuff???? I'm not sure but it will fit AICS.

I've got pt&g metal on the way, but I've seen several references to it not fitting these stocks so I figured I'd ask before it showed up. No reason to be such a smart ass, do you really think I'd manage to get this far without doing a simple google search? Or do you just need to feel superior that badly? I appreciate the help, but there's no reason to be a jerk about it.

Not sure how you came to the conclusion I was being a jerk. With only one or 2 post under your belt it is difficult to know one experience level. I reread what I posted and I dont get how you were offended. It will not happen again I promise.

Linking to "let me google that for you" is what I took exception to. There was no reason for that, it's being a smart ass and you know it. Don't try and act like it isn't.

Congratulations, in just four posts, you have managed to get all weird with one of the most knowledgeable members of this forum. Nice looking rifle though.

    Thanks for the compliment!

I'm not trying to get weird with anyone, that "let me google that for you" thing just has always rubbed me the wrong way. I do apologize if I overreacted to it, it's just one of those things that always sets me off. Bad timing me being the FNG and all I know.
