    Flashlight mount

Hey all...new member here. Anyone have any info or suggestions on mounting a flashlight sans the included pic rail?. Picking up my gun next week, but just realized if I install the light using a mostrum 45 degree pic mount I would lose the bead sight. So was wondering is anyone has experience mounting a light on the tube under the barrel rather than the pic rail.

    Thanks for any info!

On my Remington 11-87 and a couple of rifles I take plastic pic rails, because they were much taller than metal, and screw them into the stock. I just used drywall screws with some epoxy on the threads and in the holes. Then cut off the protruding screws on the inside of the stock/for end. I think the plastic rails came from a 10-22 I bought that had a "tactical" folding stock.
