    Very nice, indeed! This would be the Enfield contract that interrupted production of the Super Sporter, yes?

    Are the cheek risers something you can buy?

    Good question. I don't have an answer for that.

    I checked with a friend in the UK who sent me an original in the mid 1990s for a small sum. He said he sold his last original for $150 a few years ago but they are available on n eBay and from Paragon as copies for under $40 US.

    They come with the proper screws too. During WW2 Holland and Holland London did the conversions and didn't start adding the cheek rest till mid 1942.

    Unit work shops installed them to issued #4T rifles were needed to early rifles.

    End users were allowed to modify them to improve individuals hold. I have three original units that came with issued rifles and I can tell by contour the fitting compared to the reproduction rests. So don't be shy to reshape to your needs.
