    Latest project 110 30-06

My intent at first was a change to 6.5X55 Swedish but I have two Enfield projects in line First.

So I will tinker with the 110 as is till I gather proper base and rings for a Leupold M3LR I have saved for fifteen years.

    Latest project 110 30-06

Purchased from a young Marine about to deploy

I have not had the opertuneity to find out. I made up three 30-06 loads to try.
My basic M2, a 150g SP Game King and the go to 168g SMK.All my 03 favorite ones.
    Getting a little excited.

Looking forward to a 110 range day with .308 and 30-06.

I had one. It kicked my skinny rear to death.
It was a shoot twice I’m done rifle.

I filled the rear stock up with silicone. Shot about 1.5-2 moa. Whitetail hammer

    That's my sentiment also.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

When I had mine, I hogged out the Tupperware stock and added some #9 shot sealing that in with expandable foam, trimming it down and reattaching the recoil pad. Tamed the recoil nicely. Did the same thing to a 450 Bushmaster that I built on an Axis action. That one was really beating me to death with 450 grain gas check bullets at 1650 fps.

fwiw, the new accufit stocks really tame recoil in my experience. Not sure why exactly, but that might be an option for you.

If I was going to change the bolt handle on the 110FP I would want to come back with the hex head bolt retainer or just change the retainer where would I shop what I needed ?

There seems to be a never ending list of versions of bolt handles. I don't think I would want a boat ore just a small amount of leverage upgrade.

    Opinions ?

    I wouldn’t change a thing.
