    93 stock question

Ok I purchased a wood stock from a guy who said it came off a Savage 93. I have a 93 bull barrel 22mag I go to install it and everything fits perfect but one thing. Where you screw the stock to the action the studs are almost a 1/4” from bottoming out to the receiver. So is this the wrong stock or do I need longer studs or screws. I’m thinking if I work the stock forearm down it will work but I just need some opinions. He said his was also a bull barrel!

I'd say you'd need new action screws. If the action sits all the way down in the stock, get new action screws/bolts. I'm reading this as yours are currently short. If they are longer and there is enough threads you can cut them down to fit. If you cut them down I advise on putting a nut on before cutting so that it will remove any burrs from cutting.
