N150 may be a little on the slow side on the burn rate but it should work just fine. Be better with a longer barrel
So I'm looking into reloading for my 110 Tactical with the hopes of getting 2 loads that produce sub-MOA accuracy out to 500yds.
Some background... I've shot a few different loads thru it and it seems to like Federal Gold Medal Match 168 (sub-MOA). So with that, I'm aiming for is a target load using the same Sierra 168s and a game load using a 168ish bullet designed for killing game up to elk size.
I've got 200 Federal brass casings that I used from shooting the gun, and 300 Federal Gold Medal Match primers. So now I'm looking for powder and bullets. With the scarcity of powder these days, I was able to find N150. Will this work? Also, what bullet can you recommend to go with this combination?

The Sierra book says you can load 44.3gn of N150 with the 168SMK for 2700fps. That is for a 26" barrel. I like shooting the 155gn bullets at 500 and 600yd. But, every barrel likes slightly different bullet weights.
I duplicated the FGMM 168 SMK loads using RE-15 with Fed-210M primers in Lapua brass. With a 26" barrel I getting 2705 fps with a standard deviation of 17 fps. I personally seat them very long. I am still a 0.020" from the lands on my factory 308W barrel. This is a very good load for me out to 600 yards. If I am shooting my than 600 yards I switch over to the 175 SMK. Both RE-15 and Varget are pretty hard to find right now.
Luck, Tim
I agree with what was said up , N150 should work just fine with 168smk.
For a hunting load 178 Eld-x and varget give me .3 groups, haven’t tried anything else to be honest.
As far as target loads for 308 , anything should work to be honest . I have tested CFE223,RL15, Imr4064 , Imr4895, varget , 8208XBR with 168/175 smk with Fed 210M/Cci BR2; they all performed under 1/2 inch at 100 yards .
Sierra doesn’t recommend using target bullets for hunting applications, you should consider coming down to a 165 Gr bullet designed for hunting
I was able to get sub moa accuracy from my Hog Hunter using Sierra's 175 Matchking and 180 Gameking pair with no variation in load data.
If I were in your shoes, I would try Sierra's 165 grain Gameking for your hunting needs.
