Hi new guy from Ma. recently retired after 22 years of military service and another 20 years working for the Dept. Of Defense traveling the world. I have been a firearms enthusiast since growing up in the south where being a good shot wasn't just a sport it meant the difference between putting some meat on the table or not. these days I don't hunt I'm more of a sports shooter trying to make the smallest hole possible from as far as possible in a paper target. I own a few savage rifles along with other manufactures, the current Savage rifles in the collection are a Savage model 99 in 300 Savage, Savage /Stevens model 325A in 30-30 win., Savage model 93R17 in 17HMR, Savage/Anschutz model 141 target rifle in 22 cal., and a Savage model 112 heavy varmint in 223. Every Savage rifle I own is well built and shoots lights out and the build quality is second to none. Still trying the figure out why savage don't get the respect that other rifle manufactures get.
