300 WSM Stock Question - Oddball?

Will the 300 WSM stocks work for a new 12FV?

Looks like the 300 WSM is a short action, correct?

Looks to have an odd spacing. 4.475 in lieu of 4.40?

For a Savage? No. How are you measuring?

    it is 4.522, 4.275, 4.400 or 3.440(target action only)

There is always the "does the magazine fit in the stock(4.400) or does it hang on the receiver(4.275)" question.

Early VLP's stocks were blind mags.

Would you expect these to be 4.40" spacing?

I went back to look at the old Savage Catalogs and found they made single shots also. The two I have owned were CF and detachable. The VLP showed up in 2004. Thanks for the correction Fred.

Apparently some of the 300 WSM's are an oddball spacing?

    Even for a Center feed?

Were the blind mag VLP's center or staggered feed?

    Thanks.

It's either 4.275" or 4.400"...........there is no 4.475 spacing. They made staggerfeed blind,(4.275) and also centerfeed blind,(4.400) and centerfeed DBM.
