    Axis Bolt spring question

Trying to get ahold of Savage is like pulling hen's teeth. Emailed and called multiple times and never have gotten through.

Needing to fix the 2 piece spring on a customer's axis. Yes he left the gun cocked all the time.

Since I can't find the spring via any parts shop and I can't get ahold of Savage, what are my options? I'm not good at making springs and my current insurance won't cover my making springs so that option is out.

    Suggestions?

When I replaced the springs in my Axis bolt last year I had to go through my LGS and have them order it for me BUT, I'm not a gunsmith so that was my only option. COVID has everything screwed up now making it hard to get ahold of any business lately. All you can do is keep trying. Wolf doesn't make the d--med springs so Savage is the only source.
