Made in 53 by the date code, the two asterisks mean modified choke.

New here with just purchasing my first Savage shotgun 775A with a super choke. My question is related to the super choke, the gun I bought has several missing ribs/slots in the venting portion of the choke and I bought another used barrel with undamaged choke from a pump action with the intention to swap to my auto loader. Problem is I cannot find any information on how to remove the choke or if it is even possible to do. Any feed back or links would be greatly appreciated.
