    110 storm and hunter

Good morning everyone. I’m looking at buying a new savage 110 in 270win and would like a storm or hunter and as far as I can tell the only difference is the stainless/blued finish. Is this correct? I’m fairly new to the brand but owned a 116 in 7mag at one time not long ago. Looking for a lighter weight rifle than my 7600 pump

Yes, they are identical except for the finish (and to be complete, chrome moly vs stainless for barrel/receiver).

If the reason to replace your Remington 7600 with a Savage 110 is based solely on reducing weight, then neither the 110 Storm or Hunter will fit the bill. All three rifles are listed at 7.5 lb (7.45 for the Storm). If light weight is key you may be better served by the 110 Lightweight Storm at ~5.8 lb. It’s the same list price as the Hunter, is available in 270 Win, but doesn’t have the Accustock aluminum bedding block that both the Hunter and regular Storm have.
