    Model 24E Savage Need rear sight with 5/16 dovetail.


    I have a 1951 Model 24E 22/410 O/U with the barrel selector on the hammer. Missing rear sight. 3/8" dovetail is too big. Can't find a 5/16" dovetail base anywhere made for this gun. And yes I used a machinist caliper to measure the dovetail, it's 5/16. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    GPC shows one with a 3/16" dovetail. Rear Sight w/o Elevator, 2.25" OAL | Gun Parts Corp.

    Bought one of those from Numrich
    Not at all as sturdy as original
    Much thinner metal construction
