Axis is a long action. What controls cartridge type/length is the trigger guard housing and magazine on the Axis.

If you are looking at a stock, Boyd's has the measurement you need to take to determine SA vs LA. I would think that 6.5CM is short magazine, but, I'd measure it anyway.

All Axis are built on the long action.

Yes, the action is the same for all. But, the magazine and floorplates are different. After market mfgs like Boyd's refer to short action and long action to describe the different hardware and inletting for the stocks.

    For your edification

Men and any Ladies present. IF U purchase a MDT Chassis system the Axis2 is considered a "SA" by MDT. Just for your edification. I purchased two last night and look forward to making a nice 1000 yard weapon. Y'all stay safe out there! It ain't over. 4MoreYears. Interesting times

Be sure to post up some pictures of the finished product and some groups. Take care out there. I'm about due for another trip to Hubbard to shoot some hogs.
