    New Savage in the safe...

Just picked up a Model 10T in 6.5 Creedmoor. Owner had it in an MDT chassis with two other stocks [composite factory and Bell & Carlson] to go with it. I paid $850 for all...a great deal considering the goodies it came with. Now the .223 I put in the MDT chassis has a big brother and my small collection of rifles is complete. Looking forward to range time soon with the rifle. The Bell and Carlson will be finding a new home soon as I will never use it. I am going to keep the composite stock and bottom metal/mag in case I ever decide to go hunting. Mostly will be just target shooting. I would post a pic but I do not see any way to upload one from the hard drive.

    You got a great deal.

What's the barrel channel and weight of the B&C stock?

Yes, I won't need it. Looks like a varmint tactical, but does not have the cheek riser like the current ones do, no idea how long ago it was new. It takes the stock ten round mag and bottom metal for my model [10T]. Wish I could upload pics. Looks good on the outside, a few scratches on the inside. Has a limbsaver pad on it.

I couldn't believe the price of $900 as listed, asked him what his bottom dollar was and since we'd traded a couple of things before, he was a bit flexible. I sold a Ruger 6.5 PRC I had traded into and will retain enough cash after getting the optic for it to get extra mags and some good ammo for it. Extra mags are on the way.

Just found out that other stock is a Boyd's Pro Varmint and not a B&C.
