Savage 12 VLP BDM lightweight chassis or stock

I am thinking about converting my 12 VLP BDM from an F-Class into a PRS rifle by dropping the barreled receiver into a light weight chassis or stock that accepts AI pattern magazines. Has anyone done this? I'm looking for suggestions.

Since your model 12VLP is based on the standard dimensions of all short actions, it has been done many many times. There are lots of manufacturers that make chassis. Some are heavy and some are light. Some are way to short in the forearm area. Some are cheap some are expensive. Yours is probably a top release 4.41" action screws spacing....make sure. Decide on your budget and your needs and go shopping online.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
