93r17 or b series 17wsm

alright its time for a new toy, i decided on a rim fire 17 as i dont have one. the wsm interests me but there is alot of negativity on it, most of that is from years ago. did savage get this fixed or should i just go with the tride n true 93r17 in .17hmr?

I'd go with the 17HMR. I think the .17 WSM's days are numbered.

I havent shot a 17hmr but i have a 17wsm bmag bull barrell SS in a boyds stock. Its been very enjoyable, accurate, has more power and range than a 17hmr. Bullets cost similar whats not to love?
Its more than needed for squirrel at shorter range, but I'd guess any bullet than can drop a coyote is

ended up going with the 17hmr, been around longer and isnt going any where and plenty of ammo. i ended up with a savage 96209, not really the rifle i wanted but with todays market i had no other choice. cant wait to get er and see how she shoots!
