    Changing 308 to 223

I have a 308 Tactical that I'm considering changing to a 223. Beside the bolt head and extractor does the firing pin need to be changed ? And of course a 223 magazine

    Thank you

As long as the firing pin is a good fit with the bolthead you acquire no need for a firing pin. You will want the 223 front baffle also.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

It might be a good idea to change the barrel, as well.

It is not really required though. All it does is limit the reward movement of the bolt so it does not go much past the rear of the round.
When I converted my 308 to 223, I just re used the original baffle and have zero issues.
