Usually in the Weaver bases straight numbers mean glossy blued, M=Matte finish, and S=Satin finish for stainless steel rifles. Should be able to measure the diameter of the receiver and then find a matching rifle make with the same receiver diameter. When you find a match then look up the bases for that rifle. Sometimes you can take the number and cross it over to different makes. Then look up that make to see if there is a base made in the brand of choice. Leupold and Weaver used too have books of specs on there bases and rings. Hardly see them anymore unless in an older gun store or at the gunsmiths.
