    EGW rail mount screws.

Anyone have any issues with the supplied screws on their EGW rail?
I'm debating permanently attaching the rail, as there isn't a recoil lug. Not sure if this will be a non issue.
Do the supplied screws hold up to the mild 308 recoil? Anyone heard of ones being sheared?
I believe the strip torque to be over 45 in/pd, but no idea on shear strength.

They will hold it. I have one on a 338-06 shooting 210 grain bullets and I haven’t encountered any problems.

The first thing to check is the supplied screws. Make sure the taper on the screw matches the counterbore on the rail. I've mounted several EGW rails to find out the counterbore is 90 degrees, and the screws are 82.
