New here but not entirely new to Savages. I owned a 1917 some years ago but it went by the wayside along with all my other collectibles when I believed I might need some guns more suited to modern social interaction. Now we seem to be approaching such a situation yet again. But this time I am already well supplied with serious hardware and can comfortably think about my first love... turn of the century pocket autos.
Anyway, I just recently bought a 1919 manufacture model 1907 and have a 1915(?) manufacture 1907 on the way. Of all the old pocket 32s and 380s I used to own, I liked the savage better than all the others and am thinking about collecting just Savages, with perhaps an occasional moment of weakness for one or two non-savage pocket autos. One other I always loved a lot was the H&R Self-Loathing (my nickname for it).
I am a professional B&W landscape photographer with a slew of related inventions, magazine articles and one recent book under my belt. Just recently moved back to Texas, just about an hour north of Abilene.
