Welcome to the forum, from northeast georgia
Hey everyone!
I'm retired Air Force and I have just started getting into shooting / hunting. Of course, I shot all the time in the AF with the M16 and the M9 - but not the same at all. My family has a history with hunting and firearms, but after I left home, I was not around enough to dive in first-hand. Now I'm back home, I have jumped in. Went hunting for my first time last year and shot my father's Remington 7700 30.06.
This year, we are going back out in a couple of weeks and I bought my first hunting rifle - a Savage 111 30.06. I also own a Hi-Point .45 ACP. I also have access to a safe full of rifles / shotguns / handguns that will be mine someday (inheritance), but I'm happy to wait on those for many years (and then one day pass them on).
In the meantime, I plan on filling up my own safe. I have the itch.
