300 win mag vs 30-06 follower difference?

Would a 300 win mag use the same follower in a blind magazine as a 30-06 rifle?

If you look at the sidedes of each magazine you will notice indentations or grooves depressed into the magazine. The followers locate themselves in those groves by matching the location of those indentations on the sides. Each version is specific and matched. So as Fred stated...no.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

OK gotcha thanks for the info. I have a 110 in 300 win mag that I want to convert to 30-06 since I already have a ton of 30-06 ammo but now I'm thinking maybe it'd just be easier to buy a whole 30-06 rifle and sell mine lol. Anybody on here want to trade your 30-06 for my 300 win mag?

Make up a few "dummy" 30-06 cartridges. They may just cycle through the Winmag magazine with only minor tweaks to the magazine feed lips. A 7mm mag I converted to a 260 worked perfect after a little bending.

I actually have a 30-06 a zoom snap cap I'll have to try that, that's a good idea thanks!

Trying just one may feed ok, but with 2 or 3 in the mag it may "pop" them out prematurely. That's where the feed lip tweaking may come into play.
