    Feels like a new rifle

I decided to add a couple much need upgrades to my old 64 - purchased from http://www.diproductsinc.com/Products.aspx?CAT=8858

Extended bolt and extended mag release. Two design features that really annoyed me. Can't wait to try them out.

Now I just need to figure out how to clean up the trigger pull. (suggestions welcome).

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is!

One thing you'll notice is that this older model on uses a single mounting stud - at the front of the magazine plate. The rear of the plate uses a simple wood screw. I notice on the newer ones, that the rear trigger/magazine screw utilizes a second mounting stud.

Whenever I reassemble my rifle, I always have to take care to center the barrel to make sure it remains free floating. Occasionally, bumping or handling the rifle can move it off center. Can't be good for accuracy, even though the gun is pretty dang accurate.

I'm going to have a closer look and see if I can modify it to use two mounting studs.

I think it's called the McCobb trigger spring it works great with the old steel trigger in the mag release go to come up with a better idea on the new one they're selling. With the right ammo I just saw a half inch hole all day long at 50 yards scope that is not iron sights
