    Ruger1022 and savage 64

Borrowed a Ruger from a friend took it and my Savage 64 out for simple comparison and test. This is not a biased report hands down Model 64 the way it was built strong sturdy you really have to put a few thousand rounds down the savage. The Ruger was stock also. Both shot to CCI standard velocity well. I shot the bottom of the barrel ammo about 8 or 10 different kinds. They all lived up to what they were they shot like crap now SK wolf Aguila rifle match some cheap Ely. All group shrank down to acceptable.1 inch at 50 for me each one would throw a flyer but that's the ammo. With a lot of work the Ruger could shoot easily have an inch at 50 with bipod sandbags 24 Power Scope The Savage 64 oh shoot about a half an inch or a little bigger with decent mid-grade ammo if you want to tag driver buy The Savage MK2

I just got a Mark II-G. I've only had a chance to shoot about 100 rounds through it. How many rounds do you think it will need to settle in?
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is!
