    Hiya
all you need is a new barrel, barrel wrench, action clamp and headspace gauge.I made an action clamp from two pieces of bar stock and bored a 34mm hole through them.

Thanks I am looking into those items now. Any suggestions for a barrel? Where to buy?

I have a heavy stainless 26-inch .308 barrel from a model 12 and I want to switch it out to an equivalent 22-250. The bolts will work on either.

i was actually thinking of changing my 22-250 to a 308. i've been in contact with Sharp Shooter Supply and they said if i sent them my rifle they would replace the barrel with Douglas barrel, new bolt head and put everything on for $425.

All you need is a barrel and optional recoil lug

Do it. Don't hesitate. I have a 12BVSS that i waited and waited for until I found one in .308 and glad I did.
